TEN-MAN Harriers suffered an FA Cup humbling at the hands of Fleetwood at Highbury Stadium tonight.

The Aggborough outfit never recovered from the contentious early sending off of defender Lee Baker.

Fleetwood hit-man Gareth Seddon made the extra man pay handsomely with a predatory brace in the fourth qualifying round replay.

Kidderminster produced a lacklustre display against the ambitious side from the Blue Square North as they suffered their biggest defeat of the campaign.

Aaron Farrell and fit-again Dean Bennett were brought in for suspended skipper Chris McPhee, sent off in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Aggborough, and John Finnigan.

The away side started confidently and David McDermott did well to tee up Matthew Barnes-Homer in the box but his fourth-minute shot was blocked by Shaun Beeley.

But Harriers suffered a setback when Baker was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Jamie McGuire in the 16th minute.

The left-back can count himself unlucky as he went in hard for a 50-50 challenge with the Fleetwood winger but referee Dean Mohareb felt the challenge was unfair.

The hosts took advantage of their extra man through striker Seddon, who had a brief spell with Worcester City.

He saw his header saved by keeper Dean Coleman before prodding the rebound into the back of the net in the 25th minute.

Harriers looked shaken by the double blow of the sending off and goal as they struggled to worry the fired-up home side in the first-half.

It did not get any better in the second period when midfielder Nathan Pond extended the lead on 51 minutes with a powerful header from Jamie Milligan’s centre.

Kidderminster manager Mark Yates threw big defender Gavin Caines up front when he took off ineffective striker Farrell and brought on full-back Liam Dolman.

Yates also threw on pacey substitutes Nathan Hayward and Kyle Hadley in the 70th minute.

But the ploy failed to pep up Harriers’ attack as Fleetwood dominated proceedings and looked comfortable.

Kidderminster’s cup hopes were finally sunk by Seddon in the 77th minute when his diving header diverted the ball beyond Coleman.

The goal ensured Fleetwood sailed into a first round trip to League Two side Northampton Town.

Caines pulled a goal back late on for the dispirited away side.
