STOURPORT Swifts manager Neil Hunt wants a dramatic improvement from his players at Slough Town on Saturday (3pm).

The Walshes Meadow side slumped to a 4-0 defeat at Bedworth United last weekend and Hunt described it as one of the worst displays of his tenure.

But he is looking for his team to bounce back in Buckinghamshire and record a fifth Zamaretto League Division One Midlands win of the season.

Before losing to Bedworth, Swifts edged out Aylesbury United 5-4 at home and won 2-1 at Woodford United.

Hunt said: “It’s going to be a difficult game because Slough will be up there at the end of the season.

“But we are looking for a reaction from one of the worst performance we have put in since I have been here. It was totally lacklustre.

“We have had a good training session since and hopefully will put matters right at the weekend.”

Swifts will be without two midfielders for the match against a team once place below them in the table but with three games in hand because of cup matches.

Former Worcester City left-winger Jamie Price and central midfielder Steve Towers are both away on holiday.

Hunt has put in a seven-day approach for Pegasus striker Chris Mortlock.
