CHRIS Palmer has urged his Malvern Town side to cut out “naive” defensive lapses.
Town suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss to Kirby Muxloe in the Aspire Midland Alliance at the Langland Stadium last weekend.
Palmer slammed his side, who host fellow strugglers Shifnal Town on Saturday (3pm), for conceding all three goals from set-pieces.
The Malvern boss hopes to add two new additions to his squad before Saturday and welcomes back striker Andy Crosskey to his line-up.
Palmer said: “Our naivety in defence needs to be stamped out quickly.
“We’ve got to win on Saturday. Shifnal are in the bottom three so it gives us a good chance to win again and hopefully go on a run.”
Meanwhile, ninth-placed Westfields are also at home in the league on Saturday, hosting Friar Lane and Epworth (3pm).
