PROFESSIONAL Cricketers’ Association chairman Vikram Solanki believes Marcus Trescothick will receive support from throughout the county game after flying home from the Champions League Twenty20.
The former England opener was forced to return from Somerset’s campaign after a recurrence of his stress-related problems.
Worcestershire skipper Solanki, who is taking a leading role for the PCA until a replacement is found for departing chief executive Sean Morris, said he was ready to provide any support Trescothick required.
“I hope he is now back with his family, where he is comfortable, and I wish him well for a speedy recovery,” he said. “Whatever help he might require, the PCA will be very willing to help.”
