TITLE-chasing Droitwich Spa Dons overcame a spirited Ombersley 5-2 with an Alex Lewis hat-trick in the Mercian Festival Junior League.

Lewis scored two in the first-half, including a penalty, and James Claytor was also on target as Dons led 3-1 at half-time.

In the second period, Ombersley pulled a second goal back and were denied a leveller by keeper James Mandall before Sam Levine and Lewis increased the margin of victory.

UNDER 13s: Leaders Northside Tigers scored three goals in the last 10 minutes to beat an impressive Cradley Sports 4-1 in Division Two.

The Worcester club shaded a competitive match to take the lead through Charlie McKee but Cradley equalised and were denied by two superb Jay Easterlow saves.

But Tigers dominated the second-half with player-of-the-match John Lee at the forefront and Luke Obrey and Brandon Beasant (2) secured the three points.

Warndon Villages Vipers cemented second spot in the Division Two table with their biggest win of the season, seeing off Leigh and Bransford Badgers Villa 10-0.

Oldbury Park Tigers were denied a late potential equaliser due to offside in a 4-3 Division One defeat at Falcons Youth.

Falcons led 3-1 at the break but Tigers grew in confidence throughout with the prolific Adam Whitehead scoring.

Tigers, often denied by the superb hosts keeper in the second-half, made it 3-2 through Jack Stratford but Falcons again punished their visitors with a fourth goal. In a thrilling finale, Whitehead scored his 10th goal in four games and Oldbury saw penalty claims turned down as well as Jazz Millward’s effort ruled out.

UNDER 10s: Josh Sinclair and Will Russell bagged hat-tricks in Westbury Celtic Juniors’ 10-0 win over Warndon Villages Hawks in Division Two.

Cam Lister, man-of-the-match Josh Hood (2), Russell and Sinclair made it 5-0 at the break. Russell netted a second-half treble, while Sinclair added two to complete his hat-trick.

Warndon Villages Scorpions recorded a well-earned 1-1 draw at Leigh and Bransford Badgers Spurs in Division One.

Despite falling a goal behind mid-way through the first-half, Scorpions’ squad of seven fought back against strong opposition.

Dylan Barnes levelled with a penalty before going close to a winner along with Michael Hall.

UNDER NINES: Top-of-the-table Warndon Villages Cobras won 3-0 at Westbury Celtic Youth in Division One.

Cobras were given a tough first-half but opened the scoring and added two more in the second period but defences were otherwise on top.
