MALVERN director of rugby Dave Robins believes his side will soon turn around their fortunes after two straight National Three Midlands defeats.

The Spring Lane side visit Newport (Salop) tomorrow (3pm) and Robins sees the game as the ideal opportunity to get back to winning ways.

Second-from-bottom Malvern have been rocked by injuries to fly-half Adam Dixon, who will be out for six weeks with a broken finger, and James Thomas.

However, Ed Binham returns to the starting line-up after suffering a concussion against Longton last month.

Robins said: “We have been competing really well, but not quite getting the results.

“The table won’t settle down until the early part of next year.

“The players will be fitter and more street-wise — especially the younger ones.”
