A FIELD of 259 runners braved Malvern’s tough seven-mile Beacon Race.
Prolific winner Bill Nock, of Halesowen, took the honours again in 43 minutes 48 seconds but there were some good displays from Worcestershire competitors.
Malvern Joggers secured the men’s team prize with Jon Newey fourth, Jon Bristow 13th and Richard Penny 16th.
Malvern’s Ruth Johnstone won the women’s prize.
