DROITWICH Under 17s won 29-10 at Yardley and District with George Bishop starring.
In slippery conditions, the visitors opened the scoring when Sam O’Brien surged his way through for a try which Oliver Swift converted.
Droitwich resisted pressure with Bishop and Swift pushing them back into their own half with good kicking.
O’Brien dived over for his second try but Yardley replied with a penalty before the interval.
Following a line-out, Bishop added a solo try to put Droitwich 17-3 up.
Yardley forced a penalty try in response but galvanised Droitwich added to their tally through Gary Hickman and Lucky Nwosu with Swift converting the latter. Meanwhile, Droitwich Under 14s recorded a 52-0 win at Camp Hill in the North Midlands Cup preliminary round with superior pace and power.
They now face Newport at home on November 15.
Meanwhile, Worcester Wild Ones Under 11s put in some sparkling performances to finish second at the Droitwich tournament though the hosts claimed the overall honours. Worcester had too much flair for Kidderminster, winning 5-0 on tries, before drawing 0-0 with Bredon.
They then put rivals Malvern to the sword 7-0 and defeated Old Leamingtonians 4-0 with a fine rucking game.
Against Droitwich, Worcester conceded four tries but hit back with one in the second period.
