PERSHORE’S excellent start to the Midlands Three West (South) season came to a crashing halt with a24-10 loss at Shipston.
Shipston’s fly-half ran the show early on, making breaks at will and causing panic in the Pershore defence.
From a scrum in midfield, he took the ball at pace, before feeding the winger who crossed in the corner.
Shipston’s second try was again down to Pershore errors, with the inside-centre exploiting a gap in the defence to touch down.
Another score made it 19-0 to Shipston at the break.
Pershore then rallied with tries from Matt Harwood and Chris Copson, but a further Shipston try killed off the visitors’ challenge.
