CHRIS Cornes scored an 89th-minute winner as Stourport Swifts edged a nine-goal thriller against Aylesbury United.

Swifts moved to within five points of the top of Zamaretto League Division One Midlands.

Cornes opened the scoring and Dukes made it two, but the visitors equalised just before the interval.

United took the lead after the break, but Swifts stormed back with goals from Gatton and Morris.

Cornes grabbed his side’s fifth with one minute to go.

United’s Moses piled on the pressure with an injury-time strike but Swifts held on.
