TERRY Jenkins bounced back from his Whyte & MacKay Premier League Darts defeat to Jelle Klaasen to reach the semi-finals of the Players’ Championship at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena.
The Bull, from Ledbury, went down 6-2 in the last four to eventual winner Mark Walsh, who beat Phil Taylor in the final.
En route to the semi-finals on Saturday, Jenkins beat Dennis Priestley 6-3 in the quarter-finals, Steve Hine 6-4 in the fourth round, Michael Smith 6-3 in the third, Gary Mawson 6-4 in the second and Chris Allen 6-4 in the first round.
In the Blue Square UK Open West Midlands Regional Finals the following day in Coventry, Jenkins reached the fourth round before going down 6-3 to Wayne Jones.
The Bull opened the day with a 6-0 whitewash of Andy Pearson, before beating Adrian Gray 6-4 in the second round and then he defeated Lionel Sams by the same score in the next.
Jenkins will be back in action on Thursday when he meets Wayne Mardle in the Premier League in Glasgow.
