WORCESTER Warriors’ England sevens flanker Matt Cox will be back at his first club Woodrush on Sunday to help them celebrate achieving RFU Seal of Approval Year Two status.
Cox began his playing career with the north Worcestershire club as a schoolboy but he was spotted playing county rugby in the North Midlands age group sides and was soon signed up to the Guinness Premiership club’s academy.
Cox, who has played for England Under 18s and England Under 20s, has now broken into the first team squad at Worcester, but he will be back at Woodrush’s Forhill ground to present his old club with their certificate.
Seal of Approval recognises that a club has achieved the highest standards in providing a safe, effective and child-friendly environment in which youngsters can learn their rugby.
The presentation, which is scheduled for 12.15pm, will be the centre-piece of a busy day of activities at Woodrush.
