WORCESTER Men’s Seconds paid for missing their chances in a 1-1 draw with Nottingham in BodyKraft Midlands Hockey Division One.

The hosts started in determined fashion but failed to create many opportunities in the first-half.

Nottingham scored from a short corner on the 30-minute mark.

Simon Smith and Jack Burgess set up numerous chances for the home forwards and Steve Howard converted a flowing attack.

But Worcester were left ruing the loss of points from a game they should have won.

Worcester Fourths shook off a poor start to hammer Wolverhampton 11-1 in the West Midlands Premier Division.

After falling a goal behind, Neil Clinton levelled before Josh Edge claimed the goal-of-the-match and skipper Phil Jones netted on the stroke of half-time.

Worcester bucked up their ideas in the second period with Brian Crump scoring four alongside strikes from Simon Tinley, Ben Glass, Jake Glass and Matt Wilson.

Crump continued a prolific spell with two goals in the sixths’ 4-1 victory over Bournville.

Worcester started brightly with flowing moves leading to early goals from Crump and Judd Doughty.

The Bournville keeper made great saves before Ollie Bradley scored Worcester’s third.

Although Bournville replied from a short corner, Crump added a fourth goal.

Kate Martin struck four and Charlie Mills three as Worcester Women’s Thirds thrashed Bromsgrove 10-2.

The game was rearranged after the initial match was abandoned due to a Bromsgrove injury.

Worcester fielded a strong team and took 10 minutes to open the scoring through Mills from a penalty corner.

Over-confidence led to Bromsgrove’s equaliser on 25 minutes but Worcester recomposed themselves with Jo Fitton and Martin making it 3-1 at the interval.

Worcester again dominated in the second period with Mills and Martin adding to the tally.

Bromsgrove looked deflated and, despite a last-minute consolation, more goals from Martin, Mills and Amber Griffiths put the game to bed.

Worcester Badgers Potters took time to settle before beating Solihull Blossomfield 3-2.

Solihull, with three adults in their team, defended solidly and went ahead against the run of play after an error.

But Worcester did not give up and Ben Darlow-Jones spread the ball around well in midfield.

Ollie Bradley equalised with a great shot and Lasse Bachem turned his marker to put the hosts ahead before half-time.

The Solihull keeper denied further goals until Christian Holden supplied Bachem with the chance to fire home.

A brief lack of concentration allowed Solihull a scrambled goal towards the end.

Worcester Badgers Pippins triumphed 1-0 at Evesham with Chris Pedrick firing home the only goal.

Although Evesham had a lot of possession in the first-half, Worcester contained them well.

There were good performances from Daniel Ferrier, James Neal and Jack Cutler.

After numerous short-corner chances for Worcester, Pedrick swooped.

Keeper Tom Dalton made a crucial save to earn a well-deserved victory.
