BROMSGROVE produced a stylish 39-16 victory in a potentially tricky trip to Stoke in Midlands Two West.

Against the odds, conditions were good and the Boars played with purpose from the kick-off.

The front row were solid in the face of big opponents and more mobile around the pitch.

Lee Ward came in for the injured Nick Copson and marshalled his forwards well.

Bromsgrove winger Richard Stockholm managed a brace of tries in the first-half. For the first, James Lloyd Jones drew his man and fed Stockholm who finished with aplomb.

Ben Copson slotted both conversions and two penalties although Stoke replied to make it 20-9 at half-time.

Bromsgrove continued to dominate the forward exchanges in the second period.

Sam Stiley and Nick Wright were great in the line-out with Richard Arnold pin-pointing them time-after-time.

Centres Dan Quinn and Dan Ingram defended well with able support from Drew Harper and Nigel Burrows.

Ben Copson scored two more tries and converted one with Lloyd Jones adding the other.

Stoke managed a consolation converted try before Burrows finished off the scoring by diving over.
