PAVILION Players increased their lead at the top of Worcester Table Tennis League Division One following an 8-2 win over St George’s Dragons.
The second and third-placed teams fought out an important match with St George’s just getting home 6-4 against Rainbow.
Leading the pack following the top three is YMCA Falcons, who beat Cripplegate Guild 9-1.
Phil Houghton was the only Guild member to claim a victory.
Jostekeroge came up against Himbleton ‘C’s Adam Throssell in top form but had enough all-round strength to win 6-4.
Himbleton ‘A’ also came away with just a single point following a 6-3 defeat at Hartlebury Wanderers.
In Division Two, Nemesis were beaten 8-2 by Broadheath Belters, who reeled off eight wins in a row.
Dukes Way picked up three valuable points by defeating fellow strugglers Love City Groove 7-3. Charlie Burford was unbeaten.
Although beaten 7-3 by YMCA Elizabethans, Strensham picked up a useful point.
Dave Williams won his three singles for YMCA Kites in their 7-3 defeat by St Martin’s.
