KEIR Sellars grabbed the winner with five minutes left as Northside Colts won 4-3 at Leigh and Bransford Badgers Colts in the Worcestershire FA Under 15s Cup.
Northside started well and created the early chances, taking the lead when Josh Pearce cleverly chipped the keeper.
Matt Giordani volleyed home early in the second-half and Pearce netted from Rob White’s through-ball.
Badgers hit back with three quick goals despite good work from Northside keeper Shaun Morris, but Sellars prodded home the late decider.
Whittington St Peter’s had one player sent off and two booked in a turbulent 3-2 cup defeat to Worcester Lynx.
St Peter’s dominated the early stages without converting their chances and Lynx took the lead.
In the second period, Lynx earned a two-goal cushion but the hosts levelled through Tom Staite and Joe Morrall.
But Lynx regained the lead out of the blue and, with several home penalty claims turned down, tempers became frayed and St Peter’s were reduced to 10 players, UNDER 14s: Welland Juniors booked their place in the Worcestershire FA Under 14s Cup quarter-finals with a 3-2 success over Worcester Raiders.
Will Chambers opened the scoring on 15 minutes but Raiders replied with a quick equaliser.
Raiders took the lead for the first time before Charlie Wasley’s equaliser just before half-time.
In a thrilling second-half, Welland made changes and Luke Wellham bagged the winner from Toby Mitten’s pass.
Defenders Gareth Howells and Ben Morgan were joint players-of-the-match.
