MALVERN Town are hoping a change of surroundings will bring them better fortune.
Joe Rawle’s side host Soham Town Rangers on Saturday (3pm) in their first match at Langland Stadium since losing 3-0 to Nuneaton Town on November 15.
Malvern played three away games in the ensuing weeks, losing all three, while the floodlights at their base were being upgraded.
Following a narrow 2-1 defeat at Bromsgrove Rovers, Malvern lost 4-0 at Dunstable Town last Saturday and 5-1 at Aylesbury United on Monday.
Rawle was not impressed with either performance and wants his team to bounce back against Soham to record their first victory on home soil.
He said: “We have been really bad. We took two steps back after the Bromsgrove game because that had been quite promising.
“We were poor at Dunstable and we struggled to get a side out on Monday.
“We only went with 12 players and wrote it off as damage limitation even though we were in the lead.
“It will be nice to play at home for a change. We have got the lights sorted now so we shouldn’t have to rearrange any more games.”
Defender Andy Bullock is set to return from suspension and midfielder Jamie Hyde came through the Aylesbury defeat unscathed after recovering from a fractured eye socket.
Striker Lee Mussell should play his first match for a month after being unavailable through personal commitments but defender Liam Paddock is a doubt through college commitments.
