CAPTAIN Simon Baines scored all four goals as Droitwich Seconds won 4-2 at Whitchurch in BodyKraft West Midlands Hockey League Division One.
They were made to work hard by strong opponents but promising debuts from Tom Wilson and Chris Hoare helped.
For most of the game, Droitwich were on the back-foot with a number of last-ditch tackles and had to rely on slick counter-attacking.
A much-improved display from Droitwich Badgers saw them record their first win of the season, 2-0 over Evesham.
Alex Brewer controlled the game, while Zoe Whitehouse and Matt Lee ran the defence ragged. Goals from Lee and Brewer secured the win.
