BROMSGROVE continued their impressive Midlands Two West run with an emphatic 21-3 victory over Hereford at Finstall Park.
From the outset, the hosts dominated all aspects of play. Their tight scrummage, led by Steve Blackburn, was powerful and controlled. Richard Arnold and Nick Wright linked well in the line-out and supplied excellent ball to the three-quarters.
Hereford showed ill discipline, leading to a plethora of penalties. In the first-half, Ben Copson slotted two.
Bromsgrove’s only try in the first period was created when Nick Copson put Richard Stockholm away to score an unconverted try.
During the second-half, Bromsgrove did not let up and Warren Oliver had an excellent game on the wing.
The home team added two further tries with number eight Nigel Burrows grabbing the first and Duncan Roke the second.
Bromsgrove skipper Arnold was delighted with the performance.
He said: “It was a real team effort. Team spirit is sky-high and we managed to keep our discipline and completely dominated the match.”
