WORCESTER’S Chelsea Weston has seen her World Cup dream dashed after England Women Under 20s crashed out of the football competition.
They lost their quarter-final 3-0 to the USA in Chillan, Chile, with all the goals coming in the second-half.
Weston, aged 18 and part of the Doncaster Belles’ Premier League side, helped her team reach the last-eight as runners-up in Group ‘A’.
An opening 2-0 success against Chile was followed by 1-1 draws against Nigeria and New Zealand to secure qualification.
Weston, a right-back, played for Droitwich Diamonds when younger and went to Elgar Technology College.
