WORCESTERSHIRE’S Richard Merrick and Paul Waldron will feature at the Autosports International Show.
They will head to Birmingham’s NEC next month to demonstrate the super saloon class in autograss racing.
Former national champion Merrick, of Leigh Sinton, and Knightwick’s Waldron, a six-time English runner-up and chairman of Radford Autograss Club, will be in several performances in the show from January 8 to 11, including an oval racing spectacular.
The two drivers have represented the sport at the NEC before and at Cardiff’s Millenium Stadium when Monster Jam visited from the USA.
Merrick said: “At the NEC, it’s a bit different as everyone is there to see racing cars, not monster trucks, and they know what to expect but you always get a lot of good comments and lots of people ask to see the autograss when they go to the show.”
Steve Moss, of Warndon Villages, will have his new class eight single-seater on display.
