KIDDERMINSTER Harriers manager Mark Yates is set to rest his FA Cup stars for tonight’s Worcestershire Senior Cup quarter-final at Stourbridge (7.45).

The Aggborough outfit defeated Curzon Ashton 2-0 on Saturday to set up a trip to Championship club Coventry City in the third round of the famous knock-out competition.

Captain Mark Creighton and Stefan Moore were on target against the minnows but will be among those left out for the visit to Stourbridge.

Harriers will field a youthful team along with the substitutes from the Curzon clash, meaning the likes of defender Michael Bowler and midfielder Nathan Hayward are likely to feature.

British Gas Business Premier Division side Stourbridge, managed by former West Brom midfielder Gary Hackett, go into the Memorial Ground encounter following back-to-back league wins.

Yates said: “I won’t be playing anyone who figured on Saturday. We know what the rest of our squad is like and it’s another game for them to go and impress.”

On the Coventry clash, Yates added: “We were delighted to be in the hat for the next round.

“It’s a big club with good players, a good manager and a new stadium where my boys can go and show what they are about. The club can make a bit of money out of it, which is needed.”
