MALVERN Town slumped back to the foot of the British Gas Business Division One Midlands table as they crashed to a heavy defeat at fellow strugglers Dunstable Town.

Th hosts seemed determined to keep all their players behind the ball from the start.

Despite having the lion’s share of play Malvern were unable to create any chances.

Dunstable came close in the 20th minute with a free-kick.

Five minutes later Malvern played the ball upfield and Joe Kings slipped between two defenders and lobbed the ball over keeper but it landed on the roof of the net.

In the 35 minute Dunstable were awarded a dubious free kick just inside the Malvern half.

The ball was played to 18-year-old Lee Burgoyne on the left and his chip squeezed in.

Five minutes later Stuart Strange chipped Craig Humphries but his shot went over the bar.

The second-half started the same as the first with Dunstable sitting back in their half.

Five minutes into the second period Malvern worked the ball up to Kings and he crossed for Dave Reynolds but he fired wide before Elliot doubled the hosts lead in the 66th minute.

With the fog getting increasingly worse in the 75th minute Dunstable brought on Aaron Flood.

He scored with his first touch when the ball was played to the left and the substitute sent in a dipping ball which found the top right-hand corner of the net.

In the 85th minute Dunstable were given a free kick just outside the area. Joe Reynolds sent in a shot which flew past Humphries.
