EVESHAM United top scorer Mark Owen has left the club and joined former manager Neil Hunt at Stourport Swifts.
The striker was allowed to leave yesterday after the Division One Midlands club served seven days notice. However, United boss Paul West waived the usual period and allowed Owen to leave.
"I left Mark out of the side on Tuesday and he wasn't happy and I expected a reaction," West revealed. "The one I got wasn't the one I was expecting and that's why I have allowed him to move on."
The move completes a topsy-turvy season for the striker who left Evesham for Worcester City during pre-season and then re-signed in September when he marked his return with a goal in the FA Cup win at Leamington.
Owen then scored freely as the Robins enjoyed success in both league and cup but the goals have dried up of late and he was omitted in favour of Danny Lennon in midweek.
