WORCESTER footballer Chelsea Weston will be hoping to take a step closer to World Cup glory with England Under 20s on Sunday.
The 18-year-old defender, who plays for Doncaster Belles, is set to be part of the team for the quarter-final showdown with the United States in Chile. England booked their place with a last-gasp goal from Toni Duggan securing a 1-1 draw against New Zealand and the point required for qualification as Group ‘A’ runners-up.
The Three Lions began the tournament with a 2-0 victory over the host nation before a 1-1 draw with Nigeria.
Right-back Weston joined Doncaster from fellow Women’s Premier League outfit Birmingham in the summer.
