JAMES Stevens bagged a treble as leaders Warndon Villages Sharks Under 11s won 5-1 at Kidderminster Lions Cubs in Stourport Youth League Division One.

Sharks started positively and were soon rewarded when Callum Parker buried a bullet header from Matt Sowden’s corner.

From a flowing move, Sowden fed Stevens who capped a mazy run with the second goal.

A hopeful up-and-under pulled a Lions goal back but Sharks made it 3-1 at half-time through Stevens’ great volley from Kieran Burns’ pass.

Stevens poked in a Liam Dayus effort and then Parker’s header completed the scoring.

Nunnery Wood Leopards saw off their Tigers counterparts 3-0 with the teams meeting for the second time in eight days.

Leopards were by far the better team and played good passing football to take the lead within the first 10 minutes from a free-kick.

Keeper James Ridge kept the score down to 1-0 at the interval and Tigers improved in the second period, going close on several occasions.

But second-placed Leopards still exerted their authority with two more goals.

Northside Tigers went down 1-0 at Meadow Park in Division Two after a disputed penalty five minutes from time.

Luke Obrey, Sandro Garcia and Jordan Wise all went close in a superb first-half for Tigers, while keeper Dan Norcott saved a penalty.

Sam Green was denied by the Park keeper and the well-organised hosts slotted home their late spot-kick to bag the points.

UNDER 10s: Warndon Villages Falcons gave an encouraging display at unbeaten leaders Bewdley Town, going down 3-0.

Adam Darling and Isaac Jones looked strong in the tackle but Bewdley pushed on to score two quick goals mid-way through the first-half.

Keeper Alex Finch put in a fine display, while Oscar Pickering and Max Hawksworth impressed.

Player-of-the-match Finch was penalised for a foul in the second period, though, which gave Bewdley a third goal from the penalty spot.

UNDER 12s: Northside Tigers kept up their 100 per cent record at the top of Division Two with a 6-0 win at Bromsgrove Rovers.

In bad weather conditions, Tigers took the lead after an explosive run and shot from player-of-the-match Macauley Johnson.

A great run and cross from John Lee was then slotted home by Brandon Beasant.

Tigers dominated the second-half and Charlie McKee scored from long range.

Luke Obrey tapped in the fourth from a Johnson cross and Jordan Wise finished neatly from close range after good work by Justin Brown.

Obrey completed his brace with a thunderbolt from 25 yards.

Nunnery Wood Tigers slipped 3-1 at home to fellow promotion-chasers Bewdley Town for their first league defeat of the season.

Tigers gradually got into the game with Jai Gilchrist and Jake Rousell both creating moments of alarm for Bewdley.

But the visitors went ahead with a good goal and added a second before the break.

In an open second-half, Bewdley added a third after being denied earlier by goalkeeper Will Henshall.

Ben Harrington and Gilchrist went close at the other end before Anees Tariq scored a consolation following Christian Eyles’ corner.

UNDER 14s: Ryan Upson’s hat-trick helped Nunnery Wood Jaguars to a 5-3 victory over Cookley.

Jaguars showed great character to see off a strong Cookley second-half comeback and the elements.

Cookley took the lead on the break but an Upson brace put the hosts 2-1 ahead at half-time.

Chris Jeffrey, Keiran Sheen and Upson all netted in the second period but Cookley bounced back with two more goals.

Jaguars keeper Adam Paintin showed impeccable handling in tricky conditions.

Oldbury Park Tigers lost 5-1 to unbeaten leaders Archdales Royals in Division One.

Royals went into a two-goal lead within the first 10 minutes but Josh Newbold pulled one back as Tigers started to create a few chances.

James Day missed a good chance to equalise and Dales broke to extend their lead by half-time.

Slack marking at a corner allowed a fourth for the visitors and they added a final-minute strike.
