WORCESTER City Council are calling on wannabe soccer stars following the revamp of Brickfields’ King George V playing fields.
They have launched a football academy, which starts with training open to children of all abilities on Saturday.
“Everyone’s welcome, even if you’ve never played football before,” said Jon Wilson, the council’s football development officer.
“The focus is on development and having fun with lots of games and an emphasis on getting the right technique.”
The Saturday sessions run from 9am until 10.30am for girls and boys aged 12 to 15 and 11am until noon for five to 11-year-olds.
For details of costs, call Wilson on 07796-990945.
