DROITWICH Dolphins improved in National Swimming League second round following a disappointing opener.
They performed well against tough opposition to finish second behind Phoenix Youth. First places were gained by Ruth Hadley in the 11 and under 50m backstroke, Robin Williams in the men’s open 100m butterfly and open freestyle and Emma Houlston in the women’s open freestyle.
Personal bests were clocked by Kat Llewellyn, Malcolm Latta, Jo Minion, Lauren Rogers, Sam Cave, Clodagh Lodge, Ollie Leaper and Alice O’Toole. The relay teams gained one first, three seconds and a third place.
Houlston said: “We are a small club compared to many of the teams in the National League but we are determined to improve each time we go out to compete.”
Dolphins are in the top-six draw for the final round at their home pool next month.
