EVESHAM Archery Club’s annual FITA 18 Open tournament again attracted the country’s top-ranked archers.
Olympian Simon Terry, a double bronze medallist at Barcelona in 1992, secured the men’s recurve bow trophy from Jonathan Shales with a score of 582.
Fellow Olympians Alison Williamson and Naomi Folkard, of Kidderminster, fought for the women’s title.
Williamson, who won individual bronze in Athens four years ago, triumphed with 579 points to Folkard’s 568.
The compound bow division saw Nicola Simpson triumph, closely followed by Rikki Bingham and Lucy Holderness.
Chris White blew away the opposition in the men’s contest with 596 out of 600.
Evesham’s Jo Orbell and Chris Norburn recorded 528 and 535 respectively.
Sally Gilder notched up 255 and was second in the under 14s and fifth junior girl.
In the Garrington Cup first leg for Worcestershire clubs, Evesham took first place and 10 points, thanks to the efforts of Orbell, Norburn, George Scott and Sebastian Marler.
In the open team competition, Saints and Sinners were victorious with high-class scores from Sarah Neale, Joanne Lunt and Mike Lewis.
