GIRLS from South and West Worcestershire School Sport Partnerships played in a tag rugby festival at Evesham High School.
The event started off with coaching skills and drills performed by young leaders from the host school and members of Evesham RFC.
It gave the girls an understanding of the game as they practiced various techniques, including passing, running and scoring.
They then played 10-minute games with the young leaders acting as referees alongside representatives from the Evesham club that helped provide an excellent link with information being provided about training times.
Both the year eight and nine and year 10 and 11 tournaments were won by The Chase Technology College, Malvern, while Evesham were runners-up. St Egwin’s Middle School sent out a year eight team to compete against their high school counterparts.
