ENTERTAINERS Worcester Wolves have again been recognised by the British Basketball League as they head to Sheffield Sharks tonight (7.30).
After beating Sharks 109-100 on Saturday, player-coach Skouson Harker and forward Anthony Paez were named in the BBL team of the week.
Harker particularly impressed in last Friday’s 110-102 loss at Milton Keynes Lions with 31 points, while Paez grabbed 39 against Sharks at the University of Worcester.
The South Yorkshire outfit will look for quick revenge against Wolves at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield.
Harker had praise for Paez following his game-winning performance and is expecting more of the same from him.
He said: “Anthony had a break-out game by his standards.
“He has had 30-plus points a couple of times this year but against Sharks he was absolutely impeccable.
“He showed why he is, in my opinion, an MVP calibre player in the BBL. We expect this type of performance from him more times than not and, even with a bull’s eye on his chest, I think he can deliver.
“We had more continuity, Will Funn dropped 14 assists for the second time in three games, and when he distributes like that, with good pace and tempo, we do well.
“We can’t continue to give up more than 100 points but we will continue to play our game and try and tighten things up defensively throughout the season.”
It will be the third meeting between the teams this season as Sharks, playing at home, knocked Wolves out of the BBL Cup 89-80 in October.
