BROADWAY bowler Sue Davies has moved a step closer to making England’s 2010 Commonwealth Games squad.
Davies has been named in an intial 12-person squad for the games in India.
From there, the selectors will keep a close eye on Davies before halving the squad next autumn.
Having begun playing bowls 13 years ago, Davies got her first call into the England set-up in 2007.
She said: “The selectors are going to be looking at the squad over the next 10-11 months before naming the people who will go to the Commonwealth games.
“The main aspect of the game they will be looking at is the outdoors. Hopefully I can get into the team.”
