WORCESTER City Women booked their place in the semi-finals of the County Cup with a 3-1 victory over Ferndale at Bilford Road.
After going behind early in the first-half, City hit back with goals from Mel Curncok, Genie Ward and a Nicky Bond penalty before half-time.
It is the second time Worcester have beaten Ferndale this season, having recorded a 1-0 win in West Midlands Division One South last month.
Paul Hennessey’s side do not know who they will face in the last four but have been spared rivals Hereford Phoenix after the holders were beaten by Kidderminster in the quarters.
Worcester captain Vicky Andrews was delighted to see her team register their seventh successive victory in all competitions.
She said: “It was a really good performance.
“We had two players cry off ill late on so we went into the game with 11 players but we out-played them.”
City return to league action on Sunday when they travel to Birmingham Athletic.
The reserves were beaten 3-2 at Pershore with Fiona Williams and Amy Band on target.
Paul Ryan’s side are without a game this Sunday.
