MUCH-travelled striker Trevor Benjamin will not be joining Worcester City.
Talks between the player and manager Richard Dryden have taken place but did not lead to any deal.
Blue Square South outfit City are looking to bolster their squad with a forward high on the list following the news captain Craig Wilding may need surgery on a groin complaint.
Former Leicester City marksman Benjamin is currently on the books at Unibond Premier Division leaders Hednesford Town, his 18th club of a career which began at Cambridge United.
The 29-year-old, based in Northampton, was released by Hereford United at the end of last season despite scoring 10 goals in 34 appearances as they won promotion from Coca-Cola League Two.
City boss Dryden said: “We did have talks but that was as far as it went. Nothing is going to happen.
“People will have to go out before anybody comes in. We had a chat to see what the situation was but nothing is going to happen in the forseeable future.”
