THE voting procedure for Worcester City’s annual general meeting on Friday is expected to be overseen by two independent scrutineers.
Appointed by the club, they will be in attendance at County Hall to ensure fair play during what has the potential to be a contentious evening.
In the first instance, each motion will be decided by a show of hands, regardless of the number of shares held by individuals.
However, should there be an objection to the result by shareholders, a poll will then be conducted by the scrutineers.
They will verify the number of shares held by an individual and check proxy forms before announcing a result.
A poll can only be used if it is called for by an agreed number of shareholders as set out in the club’s articles of association.
This procedure will then be followed for each of the motions.
There can be a maximum of 12 directors elected.
An extraordinary general meeting is still scheduled to take place after the AGM and will do so unless the Shareholders Action Group state otherwise.
