BROMSGROVE-born number eight Jordan Crane is eager for his first taste of senior international rugby after Martin Johnson named him among the replacements for England’s clash with South Africa tomorrow (2.30pm).
The former South Bromsgrove High School pupil, who plays for Leicester Tigers, is in the squad on the back of an impressive 2008 Barclays Churchill Cup campaign with England Saxons, in which he was voted most valuable player of the tournament.
The 22-year-old said: “I’m excited at the opportunity to get my first experience of international rugby against South Africa.
“To me, there’s no better way than playing against the world champions at Twickenham. It’s the ideal opportunity to test myself against the best players in the world.”
