A CHANGE of venue did not put Worcester City Wanderers Girls Under 13s off as they bulldozed Burlish Olympic 12-0 in the Mercian Festival Junior League.
The match was switched to Burlish as City’s home pitch was waterlogged but it was not long before the goals started to flood in.
By the end of the first-half, Lauren Williams had netted a brace and Emily Burton one with the home keeper putting on a superb show.
Within minutes of the second period, Emma Evans increased the lead.
City passed their opponents off the pitch as Shahena Sultana scored her first two goals for the club alongside efforts from Burton, player-of-the-match Abi Laker (2) and three more from Williams.
UNDER 10s: Warndon Villages Tigers are the first team in eight Division One fixtures to score against leaders Evesham United Robins.
Robins, last season’s champions, won 3-1 despite falling behind to Lewis Kirkpatrick’s fine finish from a Dylan Hart corner.
Evesham equalised through a fine piece of individual skill from the striker and took the lead before half-time after Tigers failed to clear.
In the second period, Robins added one more from a corner.
Tigers’ Jack Davies was their player-of-the-match for a whole-hearted display as the holding midfielder.
Warndon Villages Lions pipped Oldbury Park Tigers 1-0 in Division Two to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
A Bradley Allen goal in the second-half kept Lions top of the table.
