EVESHAM United manager Paul West insists his side have nothing to fear when they visit Corby Town on Saturday (3pm).
The Northamptonshire club are third in the British Gas Business Premier Division with three games in hand on leaders Farnborough and have scored 12 goals in their last three games.
United, though, are unbeaten in six league matches and have games in hand to close in on the play-off positions.
That fixture backlog has come as a result of their FA Cup heroics, which ended with a 2-0 first-round proper defeat at Torquay United earlier this month.
West knows Corby will be a difficult match but he has already seen his team overcome the likes of Rushden and Diamonds in the FA Cup and says that will give them confidence.
He said: “We are up against it in terms of the test but, if we look at who we have played this season, we won’t be fazed but we will have to be on top form.”
Troy Wood, on loan for a month from Worcester City, will be handed his first start in the absence of striker Gary Hay, who is in America, and Danny Lennon after his release by the club this week.
However, West is not expecting too much from Wood too soon.
“Troy has come in but he needs to get himself right. He looks like someone who hasn’t played competitive football for a long time,” the Robins chief said.
“He will be thrown in at the deep end and hopefully he will start swimming for us tomorrow.”
He added: “Danny is a great lad but all good things come to an end so we are a little bit weak on numbers.”
Captain Steve Lutz is expected to be out for four weeks with a fractured foot but will be replaced by midfielder Robbie Ager, who has joined from Midland Alliance outfit Studley.
