WORCESTERSHIRE Over 60s held their third annual general meeting at Old Elizabethans.

During the 2008 season the team won four of its eight games in the Home Counties 60 plus County Championship finishing sixth, while they won seven of the 10 friendlies.

At the meeting the players agreed to continue in the Championship which will be extended to 17 next term and regionalised in the early stages of the campaign.

As well as the league games, the Over 60s will play a minium of 16 inter-county friendlies.

With Chris Marsh of the Worcestershire Cricket Board in attendance, it was also decided that they will join the Over 50s in establishing a Worcestershire Seniors Cricket Association, the inaugural meeting to be held in the New Year.

At the AGM, Keith Middleton was reappointed as the interim chairman, Gerald Wadley was appointed manager and treasurer, while Barry Briscoe was named as the assistant-manager.

Colin Groves was appointed captain with Bob Rogers as vice-captain.
