ALEX Strutt wants to fight Pawel Trebinski again after being held to a draw.

The Ombersley fighter felt that he had done enough to claim victory in the six two-minute round contest at Birmingham’s Holiday Inn which was scored 58-58.

The 26-year-old bulked up to 172 pounds, nearly six pounds heavier than his last contest, as the London-based Pole campaigns as a light-heavyweight. Even though Strutt says he felt comfortable with the extra weight he did notice the difference.

“You do notice the difference with those extra couple of pounds,” Strutt said. “But I had looked at his weight from his record and I wanted to make sure that I matched him.

“I felt that I had done enough to win the match, I hurt him a couple of times, but it was just a shame the referee didn’t see it that way.

“Considering that I had been out the ring since May, I felt that I boxed really well and put in a good performance.

“I’ve called for a rematch — hopefully next month or January — I want that ‘W’.”

The Richie Woodhall-trained fighter believes that he is more suited at coming in as a super-middleweight and shou-ld he get that rematch with Trebinski, who is trained by Clinton McKenzie, the brother of three-weight world champion Duke, it is likely that he will come in around 168lbs.
