STORUPORT Swifts head to Chasetown tonight looking to bring an end to a goal drought that has lasted 565 minutes.

The Walshes Meadow side have not hit the target in British Gas Business Division One Midlands since the 2-0 victory over Arlesey Town on September 30.

Swifts have drawn a blank in six league games since and dropped into the bottom six as a result.

Manager Neil Hunt’s cause has not been helped by the unavailability of forward Shane Gill through work commitments for the trip to the Scholars (7.45).

Striker Duane Darby also left the club last week, despite being the scorer of Swifts’ last league goal.

Chasetown have scored 13 times in their last five matches and currently occupy the last play-off position.

However, Swifts’ chairman Chris Reynolds is happy with the team’s performances.

He said: “We are playing the best football I have seen for a long time but we don’t seem to have somebody to put it in the back of the net.”

Meanwhile, Bromsgrove Rovers visit Leamington in the Birmingham FA Senior Cup third round tonight (7.45).
