BROMYARD Town upset the West Midlands League Premier Division formbook again with a 3-2 victory at Bloxwich United.
They overcame the title hopefuls for the second time in two weeks.
Play was even in the first-half until the 35th minute when the home team scored.
The visitors were forced to make a couple of changes after the interval and started to put Bloxwich under pressure.
It paid off in the 66th minute when sub Adam Overton got the equaliser from close range.
Two minutes later, Town went ahead when Overton’s cross was neatly headed home by Luke Towler.
Tough tackling by Joe Maidment and Rob Woodward kept Bloxwich at bay until they drew level from a goalmouth scramble on 73 minutes.
Not content with just a point, Bromyard again pushed on and, within five minutes, Overton got his second.
With time running out, Bloxwich were awarded a dubious penalty but the spot-kick went wide and Bromyard held on for a superb victory.
They host Lye Town tomorrow night in the league (7.45).
