GREAT Britain’s women’s basketball team will face Finland at the University of Worcester in January.
The home of the Worcester Wolves will host Great Britain’s final EuroBasket Division ‘A’ relegation battle on January 13.
In their first campaign in Division ‘A’ the women picked up one win in eight matches, however, the battle to beat the drop has seen them handed three home matches in a row.
Great Britain will face Bos-nia in Sheffield on January 7, then they headed off to Nottingham three days later to take on Romania before arriving in Worcester.
Head coach Mark Clark said: “There’s no doubt the home games are going to prove instrumental in maintaining our Division ‘A’ status.
“The support of a home crowd can be like having an extra player on court so we need to utilise this advantage as we look to overcome three hard teams.
“Worcester is a city with strong basketball ties so we are excited to be heading there in January. We hope to show everyone just how good this team can be”
Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 concessions/NUS. They are available either by phoning 01905-542251or emailing c.considine@worc.ac.uk
