IF being a teacher and running you’re own cake business isn’t enough, why not throw running 100 kilometres into the mix as well.
Emma Gooderham, a science teacher at Bowbrook House School in Peopleton, has just come home from the World and European Championships in Tarquinia, Italy.
The mother-of-two, who won the British title on her debut, came home in 13th place as she represented Great Britain. Now Gooderham, from Wyre Piddle, is planning to run the Commonwealth champion-ships next year in Cumbria.
“It’s a pretty hectic schedule,” she said. “But the school have been really good to me.
“I work the equivalent of a three-day week at the school, runs my own cake business and train six days a week.”
