WORCESTER’S Katrina Wilson has been crowned European champion for the third year running.
Tobi Ishi Kai Karate Schools member Wilson achieved the kata accolade while representing the England team in Bucharest, Romania.
The Worcester-based club again proved their wadokai top kata school rating in the country as three other students impressed.
Callum Whatmore, representing England for the first time, fought his way through a large category to collect bronze. Eleven-year-old Tara Wilson also came home with bronze, while Emily Davies fought in the same category as Katrina Wilson.
Davies secured the silver but her team-mate went one better and has been European champion in 2006, 2007 and now 2008.
The Wilson sisters were also selected for team kata and returned home with the winners’ trophy.
