PERSHORE picked up their first Midlands Four West (South) away win of the season 25-9 at Shipston.
Although they were clearly the better side, it was not until the last few minutes that Pershore pulled away from their opponents.
Playing up the slope in the first-half, Pershore took a while to get out of first gear.
They were soon trailing to a penalty but then a solid scrum and strong run by Martin Hope set up Adrian Hanson for the first try.
Will Woodhouse added the extras.
Woodhouse extended the lead soon after with a penalty but missed the conversion after Stefan Ellis ran through following Sid Hirons’ pass.
Pershore ran the second-half apart from a spell of territorial advantage for Shipston when they kicked two penalties.
Pershore finished the game well with a try under the posts from Hope and Woodhouse again converted.
