TOBY Attwood scored twice as Worcester City Wanderers won 4-2 at Worcester Colts in the Worcestershire FA Under 16s Cup first round.
Colts capped a good start with a goal mid-way through the first-half but Matthew Burton levelled with a volley.
Man-of-the-match Attwood struck in the second-half and, although Colts replied, Jamie Heason’s 25-yard free-kick sealed the visitors’ progress.
UNDER 14s: Josh Newbold bagged all the goals as Oldbury Park Tigers won 4-2 at Worcester Colts in Stourport Youth League Division One.
Newbold gave Tigers the lead on 12 minutes and he levelled before the interval after Colts notched two swift goals.
The two crucial second-half goals were scored by Newbold.
Nunnery Wood Jaguars were involved in a great advert for the league, losing 5-3 at leaders Archdales Royals.
Jaguars deserved at least a draw but Royals’ finishing proved more clinical. Sam Steele, Chris Jeffrey and Zak Brant were on target for Wood.
UNDER 13s: Northside Colts won 6-1 against Kinver Colts.
Luke Williams and Matt Armstrong (2) gave Northside a 3-1 lead at half-time.
Cam Thorne, player-of-the-match Will Sowden and Asa Harrison completed the tally.
UNDER 12s: Nunnery Wood Panthers continued their unbeaten start with a 4-0 win at Areley Kings in Division One.
An excellent display yielded two goals in each half. Harley Brewster (2), Harry Clark and Max Hill were on target.
Man-of-the-match Khalem Nickles scored a hat-trick as Meadow Park triumphed 7-2 at Droitwich Arrows.
George Cracknell, Tom Clewes (2) and Alex Jenkins scored the other goals with Ollie Gough replying.
In Division Two, Nunnery Wood Tigers maintained their good start with a 4-0 win over Mostyn Rangers.
Missed chances and excellent keeping ensured it was well into the second-half before victory was guaranteed.
Jai Gilchrist (2), Giles Potter and Matt Price netted.
UNDER 11s: Callum Parker notched two goals as Warndon Villages Sharks triumphed 4-1 at fellow high-fliers Bewdley Comrades in Division One.
Parker hit an unstoppable shot to open the scoring but Bewdley levelled after Sharks struggled to clear the ball.
In the second-half, Matt Sowden knocked in a rebound and Parker scored before sub Jack Rule added the fourth goal.
Nunnery Wood Leopards played good flowing football on their way to an 11-1 victory at Kidderminster Lions Cubs.
Sam Hayes (3), Joe Bates (2), Ben Harrington (2), Jack Ferman (2), Jack Dorey and Bradley Hunt were on target.
Jai Gilchrist scored inside the first two minutes as Nunnery Wood Tigers ended Kidderminster Lions’ unbeaten run with a 1-0 away success.
Tigers played their best football of the season and could have had more goals.
UNDER 10s: Warndon Villages Falcons fell 5-1 at home to high-fliers Kidderminster Lions in Division Two.
A good first-half display saw Falcons match their opponents with man-of-the-match Adam Darling shining.
Lions netted early in the second period and, although Isaac Jones replied quickly, the town side scored four more.
UNDER NINES: Aaron Robertson scored the only goal as Nunnery Wood Sharks pipped Kinver Colts 1-0 in Division Two.
Keeper Barney Williams and his defence worked hard to keep Kinver out.
Substitute Robertson struck after a solo run took him past two defenders, while Matthew Ellis was Sharks’ player-of-the-match.
