A BRACE from Chloe Deam helped Droitwich Spa Wildcats Girls Under 11s beat Ferndale Youth 3-0 in the Mercian Festival Junior League.
Casey Homer and Sapphire Star worked hard in defence as Wildcats imposed themselves to open the scoring through Georgia Howells a minute before the interval.
Girl-of-the-match Deam doubled the lead with a long-range effort and grabbed her second with a neat turn and unstoppable drive.
The match kicked off 30 minutes late after Spa were stuck in traffic.
UNDER 13s: Worcester City Wanderers Girls held top-of-the-table Newtown Sports 3-3.
City’s Lauren Williams opened the scoring but were denied further first-half goals by the posts or goalkeeper.
Sports hit back in the second period with an equaliser but Emily Burton and Williams put City back in control.
Determined Sports kept battling to pull two goals back with their keeper playing a big part with fine saves.
Defender Laura Mitchell was girl-of-the-match.
UNDER 15s: Warndon Villages Wildcats Girls twice came from behind to beat Burlish Olympic 4-3 in a thriller.
Wildcats went ahead when a defender headed Lucy Mathews’ cross into her own net.
Burlish quickly levelled after a fine move to make the half-time score 1-1.
A goalkeeping error let in Burlish to take the lead but Becky Lewis’ drive equalised.
With 10 minutes left, Burlish regained the initiative only for Hannah Philpotts to strike with a 20-yard effort.
Lewis hit a late winner, thanks to a great strike.
