JUSTIN Richards is in line to make his comeback for Kidderminster Harriers in tomorrow’s FA Cup clash at King’s Lynn (3pm).
The striker, Harriers’ top-scorer with eight goals, has missed the last two matches with a hamstring injury but is back in training and raring to go.
His return would be the perfect tonic for Mark Yates’ side as they look to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat at Kettering with a potentially-tricky fourth qualifying round fixture at the Blue Square North outfit.
The Harriers’ manager said: “Justin has been good for us and I am sure he’s champing at the bit to play.
“We were disappointed with the performance against Kettering. There’s no better game than in the FA Cup and they will strongly fancy their chances of causing an upset.
“It’s a nice break from the league and we are looking forward to it.”
The Norfolk side, promoted from the British Gas Business Premier Division last season, are currently 12th in the table and reached the cup’s second round proper in 2006, losing to Oldham.
Harriers reached the second round last year after seeing off Vauxhall Motors and Ware before bowing out against League Two outfit Dagenham and Redbridge.
Yates added: “It’s a tough tie. We could have had an easier game but we will be fully prepared. We have to make sure we are ready for it.”
Victory would hand the Blue Square Premier club a much-needed £12,500 in prize money at a time when chairman Barry Norgrove is looking for new investors in the club.
However, Yates believes that will not be on the players’ minds when they step out against the Linnets.
He added: “The players are just concentrating on the game ahead. I wouldn’t let all the current money talk be an excuse.”
