WESTFIELDS bowed out of the Midland Alliance League Cup at the first hurdle when they lost 1-0 to Cradley Town at allpay.park.
A solitary headed goal from a 63rd-minute corner by Ryan Rowe made the difference.
Cradley, who had beaten Fields 3-2 away earlier in the season in the league, had to work hard but Fields could not break down a well-organised visitors’ defence.
Fields pushed forward in the latter stages to force extra-time but, despite corners and free-kicks, could not find the equaliser.
